Independence Day is one of summer’s big holidays and it’s just around the corner. Vacation goers are starting to plan their trips, pack their bags and get all of their summer essentials ready. Watching fireworks on the beach and enjoying a barbecue brings back memories of being with your family, togetherness and of childhood excitement. There’s no celebration quite like it – so get your sparklers ready! We’re heading to the beach this week and exploring some of our favorite beach locations for Fourth of July and their popular holiday activities.

Atlantic Beach Resort

Located on the Bogue Banks of North Carolina, Atlantic Beach is the perfect place to celebrate the Fourth of July with family and friends! This beachside community provides a quiet and relaxing setting for visitors to be able to enjoy the beach with lesser crowds. There’s also plenty of naval and pirate history to be found here (and in the surrounding areas – try visiting Emerald Isle, Morehead City, Beaufort and Harkers Island)! All of this is located just minutes away from the areas main attraction – its pristine beaches.

The town of Pine Knoll Shores also hosts an Independence Day Parade which will start your celebration off with a bang. And we can’t forget the fireworks! The BlueWater Resort is located right in the heart of the Myrtle Beach action and is just steps from the beach!
